PLANETARIUM SURVIVAL GUIDE PHOTOGRAPHY Photography inside the Dome is restricted to the first and last few minutes of the session. Remember use of the flash is very unpleasant when our eyes have accommodated to low light levels. Optical effects such as the spectrum and stars cannot be captured when using the flash !! DRESS Entry to the planetarium is via a short tunnel and may involve some crawling, fun for the children but Staff may wish to dress accordingly.SHOES The fabric at the base of the dome is pounded by thousands of feet - removal of shoes by children is encouraged , but this may not be practical if the schedule is tight. Staff may suit themselves but no ‘heels' or clogs please.SEATING Children on the floor. You may bring cushions /low folding chairs etc. if you wish.SPECIAL NEEDS Wheelchair access is no problem , chairs being pushed under the side of the dome before the rest of the class are seated. Generally children needing special care or attention should enter last and sit with Staff near to the entrance/ exit.EMERGENCY EXIT All stand in centre, pick up the edge of the dome and pass fabric over heads. Risk: Low |
